LEO W. SCHEINOST, 74
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 17 at Sinai Lutheran Church for Leo W. Scheinost, 74 of Fremont who died April 14, 1990 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Rev. Paul Hoffman officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
Leo W. Scheinost was born March 12, 1916 in Spencer. He farmed near Bristow until 1944, then farmed near Valley until 1975 when he retired from farming and moved to Fremont. He was a ground maintenance man for Fremont Public Schools until retiring in 1988.
He married Ione Anderson August 29, 1940 in Bristow. She preceded him in death January 27, 1987.
He was a member of Sinai Lutheran Church and the Fremont Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters, Dianne Riecken of Freemont and Cindy (Mrs. Mike) Tompkins of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; a brother, Edwin of Fremont; a sister, Marie Johnson of Fremont; and five grandchildren.
A memorial to the Arthritis Foundation has been established.
Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
