Marvin D. Schuman, 81

Marvin D. Schuman, 81, of Blair, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Clarkson Towers in Omaha.

A memorial service was Monday, April 8, at First Baptist Church in Blair. Private interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Marvin Dale Schuman was born September 25, 1931, to Albin and Estelle (Runyon) Schuman in Scottsbluff.

He graduated from Minatare High School in 1950 and from the University of Nebraska in 1954.

He was very proud of having earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Mr. Schuman lived most of his life in Nebraska and was an avid Husker fan.

He is survived by his wife, Arvella; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Janice Schuman of Rocky Hill, Conn., and David and Kathleen Schuman of Houston, Texas; and stepson and spouse, Kelly and Cindy Petersen of Minden; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or the First Baptist Church in Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
