Cheryl (Nelson) O'Neill, 67

Cheryl (Nelson) O’Neill, 67, of Omaha formerly of Herman, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, after fighting a valiant battle with cancer for eight years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 15353 Pacific, in Omaha. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at the Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd., in Omaha.

Cheryl Nelson was born September 23, 1945, in Oakland.

She grew up in Herman.

She taught at Marian High School in Omaha for 28 years.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Glenn O’Neill; children and daughter-in-law, Chad and Karlene O’Neill and Bridget O’Neill; two grandchildren, Bethenny and Breanna; sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta and Bob Medeck, Connie and Dan Watts and Janet and Jerry Wolf; brother and sister-in-law, John and Ila Nelson; nieces and nephews.
