MRS. CHRIS ANDERSON (NOER) PASSED AWAY ON THURSDAY

Mrs. Chris Anderson (Noer) died at her home in this city on Thursday, March 17, after a protracted illness.

Deceased was born in Venselo, Logav, Denmark. She was married to Hans Frederiksen and with him and two children came to America in 1876 and settled on a farm in Burt county, Nebraska. In 1876 Mr. Frederiksen died, leaving his widow and three children. Mrs. Frederiksen was married in 1877 to Chris Anderson (Noer). To this union three children were born. Some years later the family moved to Washington county and took up their residence on a farm a few miles west of Blair and afterwards removed to town.

Deceased leaves three children of her first marriage, P.W. Frederiksen, of Clafton, New Mexico; Mrs. Chr. Andersen and Mrs. Sam Christensen, both of Blair; also by her last marriage, a daughter, Miss Anna Anderson, and an adopted son, John C. Anderson, both residing in Blair. There are eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. I.M. Hansen and Rev. A. Rasmussen, who addressed a large audience in Danish, and Rev. H. Nielsen, (the latter from Minden, Nebr.,) spoke in English. A mixed quartette furnished the music and the floral offerings were beautiful and profuse.

Mrs. Christian Anderson (Noer) died at her home in this city last Thursday, March 17th and the funeral was held at the Danish Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon. Short talks were made by Rev. I. M. Hansen and Rev. A. Rasmussen in Danish and by Rev. Anderson and H. Nielsen, of Minden, Neb., in English. The music was furnished by a mixed quartette. The church was crowded and the wealth of flowers showed something of the high esteem in which the deceased and family are held in the community. Deceased was born in Venslov ev Sogn, Denmaark, July 11, 1841, and was therefore, nearing her 80th birthday. She was married to Hans Fredericksen, there and they came to this country with two children in 1872. They located upon a farm in Burt County, where Mr. Frederickson died in 1876, leaving his wife and three children. In 1877 she was married to Mr. Christian Anderson (Noer) and to this union three other children were born. Some years later they moved to this county, locating on a farm just west of Blair, removing to Blair a short time after. She is survived by her husband, four children, P. W. Fredericksen, of Clayton, New Mexico, Mrs. Christian Anderson and Mrs. Sam Christensen and Miss Anna Anderson, of this city, and adopted son, John C. Anderson, also of Blair, eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

#3 Mrs. Chr. Andersen (Noer) who died at her home in Blair last Thursday, March 17, was born July 11th, 1841, in Vensloev, Sogn, Denmark. In 1872 she came, with her husband, Hans Frederiksen, and two children to America and settled on a farm in Burt county, Nebraska. In 1876 Mr. Frederiksen died, leaving his wife a widow with three children. In 1877 she was married to Mr. Chr. Andersen (Noer). To this union three children were born.

Some years afterwards the family moved to Washington county to a farm about three miles west of Blair, and later to the city.

The deceased leaves behind three children of her first marriage, Mr. P. W. Frederiksen, Clayton, New Mexico; Mrs. Chr. Andersen and Mrs. Sam Christensen, both of Blair, a daughter of her last marriage, Miss Anna Andersen, an adopted son, John C. Andersen, also of Blair, eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted from the Danish Lutheran church last Sunday afternoon. Revs. I M. Hansen and A. Rasmussen addressed the great audience briefly in the Danish, A. M. Andersen and H Nielsen, of Minden, Neb., in the English language.

A mixed quartette led in singing. An abundance of flowers were brought by friends to the bier.

Mr. C. Andersen (Noer) and children and relatives of their departed want hereby to express their appreciation and sincere thanks for the sympathy shown them by a host of friends in days of trouble and bereavement.
