MRS. SCHLAPKOHL LIVED MOST OF LIFE NEAR KENNARD

Mrs. Anna Schlapkohl (Mrs. Anna Misfeltd) (?sp) was born January 17, 1875 near Kennard, Neb. On April 6, she suffered a paralytic stroke, from which she never recovered. She passed away April 14, 1961 at the Lundberg Memorial Hospital at Creighton, Nebr. at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 28 days.

She grew to womanhood near Kennard, Nebr., and was married to Julius Schlapkohl April 21, 1899. To this union two sons were born, Fred of Norfolk, Nebr., and William of Stockton, Calif.

They were engaged in farming near Kennard, Brunswick and Bloomfield, Nebr. They retired from the farm and moved to Creighton, Nebr.

On April 11, 1957 they moved to the Ray Hurley home in Creighton, Nebr., where they received kind Christian care. On November 21, 1958, Mr. Schlapkohl passed away after a lingering illness.

Mrs. Schlapkohl was a member of the First Methodist Church of Creighton, Nebr.

She leaves to mourn her passing her two sons, Fred and William; one brother, William Misfeldt of Denver; four grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, besides nieces, nephews and many friends. Peace be to her memory.

Funeral services for Anna Schlapkohl was held Sunday afternoon, April 16, 1961, at the Hengatler Chapel in Creighton, Nebr. Rev. David T. Gustafson pastor of the First Methodist Church of Creighton, officiated at the service. Hymns were song by Mrs. Leland Stokes and Mrs. Dale Morrill, accompanied by Mrs. Russell Sorensen. The following served as pallbearers: Arnold Jensen, Leland George, Raymond Johnson, Clayton Miller, William Moehlenhoff and George Ehrenberg.

Burial was made in the family plot in Plainview, Nebr.
