KILLED IN FARM ACCIDENT

HAROLD SCHLEUTER REPAIRING GRINDER AT TIME OF ACCIDENT

Harold Schleuter, 56 years of age, Kennard, was killed in an accident at the farm where his son lives southwest of Kennard Thursday.

Deputy Sheriff Bert Spanton, who investigated the accident, reported that Mr. Schlueter was repairing the grinder when the accident occurred.

The front of the grinder had been jacked up. The Kennard farmer was working underneath the grinder when the jack apparently gave way and the grinder fell on Mr. Schlueter.

Mr. Spanton stated that the accident was discovered by his wife, Emma. The accident occurred about 9 a.m.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Norman Discher officiating, with interment in Prairie View Cemetery.

Mr. Schlueter is survived by his wife, Emma; son, Jerry, of Bennington; daughters, Mrs. Marlene Tangney of Omaha and Miss Sharon Schlueter of Wisconsin; brothers, Victor, Ervin, Edgar and Marvin, all of Norfolk; Earl of California; Ben of South Sioux City; sisters, Mrs. Victor Voeck of Fremont and Mrs. Irene Lew of Columbus.

Mr. Schlueter was born at Stanton July 21, 1907.

Pallbearers were Leonard Hoier, John Jensen, Bob Paasch, Howard Nelson, M.N. Ubbelohde and Carsen Peterson.

Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
