LIVED IN IRAN FOR 18 MONTHS

Former Kennard resident Darlene Schlottag, 80, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at her home in Omaha.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 24, at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. Interment was in the Kennard Cemetery.

Darlene Camberg was born Jan. 8, 1920, in Fremont to Lyman and Maude (Lineberry) Camberg. She graduated from Kennard High School.

She worked for Nebraska-Iowa Supply in Blair, and later, for the ordnance plant in Mead.

She was married to Bill Schlottag. The couple spent 18 months in Iran. Prior to her move to Omaha, she lived in Decatur, Ala., for 18 years.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Amy Schlottag and stepson, Bill Schlottag, Jr., both of York, Pa.; sisters and brother-in-law, Marian Alf of Jones, Okla., and Evelyn and Del Becker of Fremont; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2006; sisters, Maxine Podwinski and Donna Camberg, and by her brother, Lyman Camberg.

Memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church and Alegent Health Hospice.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
