Amelia F. Schmidt was born November 14, 1889 at Arlington, Nebr. She was the daughter of Casper and Anna (Brinkman) Stork. She was baptized Dec. 1, 1889 and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith April 5, 1903 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was united in Holy Matrimony with William H. Schmidt on February 19, 1913 at St. Paul Church. William passed away February 26, 1955.

Amelia passed away Friday, December 10, 1982 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont, Nebr. at the age of 93 years and 26 days. She lived in the Arlington community all of her life. She is survived by one son, Curtis Schmidt; two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Margaret) Scheer and Mrs. Paul (Lillian) Royuk; one brother, Fred Stork, all of Arlington, Nebr.; and by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; also by one daughter, Irma Royuk; a son Paul who was killed in North Africa during World War II; one brother Ernest and her sister, Anna Vogt and by two infant sisters.
