ARNOLD G. (TINY) SCHMIDT, 95

Arnold G. Schmidt, 95, of Fort Calhoun, died Friday, March 17, 2006, in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Arnold Grant “Tiny” Schmidt was born Sept. 8, 1920, in Washington County.

In 1943, he married Norma Deane Gottula in Omaha. The couple divorced in 1947.

Mr. Schmidt lived in Omaha until 1970, when he moved to the river full time.

He was a member of the Omaha Business Men’s Association and the Omaha Stockyards Saddle Club.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Masloskie of Fort Calhoun; son-in-law, Wayne Masloskie of Fort Calhoun; four grandchildren and their spouses; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Schmidt; and sisters, Laura Jenkins and Madeline Nielsen.
