SERVICES FOR MRS. SCHMIDT WILL BE FRIDAY

Mrs. Ernest A. Schmidt (Dorothy) passed away Wednesday morning, November 3rd at the Blair Community Hospital where she had been confined for the past several weeks.

Dorothy Irene Beedle was born in Omaha on June 24, 1904. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beedle.

Dorothy was married to Ernest A. Schmidt on June 19, 1929 and they have lived their entire married life in Blair. They were the parents of a daughter, Suzanne, born October 17, 1930. She died in infancy.

Mrs. Schmidt was a charter member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, a member of the Blair Federated Women’s Club, was active in Republican affairs and attended the Methodist Church in Blair.

She is survived by her husband Ernest; her sister, Mrs. Mary J. Abrahamson of Boulder, Colorado; and a nephew, Frank Abrahamson of Overland Park, Kansas.

Funeral service will be at the First Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on November 5th. The Rev. Gordon Patterson will officiate and burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Gordon Vinton, Keith Vinton, Jr. Porter, Ernie Porter, Ralph Beales and Fred Schmidt.
