Elaine M. Grabbe, 88, of Blair, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be in Fontanelle Cemetery.

Elaine M. Bradford was born January 3, 1925, in Wakefield, to Lee and Meta (Henrick) Bradford. She grew up in the Arlington/Blair area and graduated from Blair High School in 1941.

On March 11, 1944, she married Leland H. Grabbe in Fontanelle. They lived and farmed in the Spiker area for more than 60 years.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle, the Women's Circle and was a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Mrs. Grabbe quilted with the Salem Quilters. She was a member of the River View Grange, Kountry Kousins Square Dance Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles 200 Auxiliary for 35 years.

She was a former member of the Vacoma Church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Diane Grabbe of Herman, Paul Grabbe and Mark and Chris Grabbe, all of Blair; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Bob Frahm, Pat and Mike Sullivan and Beth and Tom Moen Jr., all of Blair; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sue Bradford of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland, on March 17, 2009; three sisters and one brother.

Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle, the Alzheimer's Association or to the family.

Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Burial at Fontanelle Cemetery, Fontanelle, NE.
