Carole S. Dickson, 75

Carole S. Dickson, 75, of Blair, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, following a long battle with lung cancer.

Her remains have been donated to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and private services and interment in the Blair Cemetery will be at a later date.

Carole Sonya Madsen was born July 22, 1935, in Kansas City, Mo., to Dr. C. Clifford and Esther Madsen. She was a graduate of Blair High School and Dana College.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Friends of the Blair Library.

She was a thoughtful, caring, loving and giving person. She was talented, with the singing voice of an angel and played piano by ear.

In 1956, she married Raymond Lee Dickson, and they made their homes in California, Montana and Blair over the years.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; brother and sister-in-law, Lowell "Buzz" and Sue Madsen of Las Vegas, Nev., and Fresno, Calif.; nephew, Scott Madsen of Las Vegas; niece, Stacey Walker and her children, Jack and Haley of Clovis, Calif.; special cousin, Sandy Totten of Riverside, Calif.; other relatives and friends.
