Dyral A. Dunklau, 70

Dyral A. Dunklau, 70, of Arlington, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment will be in St. Paul's cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held one hour before services at the church.

Dyral A. Dunklau was born June 6, 1940, in Arlington to Emil and Lenora (Hilgenkamp) Dunklau. He was a 1958 graduate of Fremont High School.

He lived his entire life in the Arlington area and was a dairy farmer.

He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he served on the finance board and the Board of Elders. He also served on the township board in Washington County.

He was an avid Cornhusker football fan.

On June 5, 1960, he married Illene Westermann at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She survives him, as does a son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Sheila Dunklau of Arlington; daughter, Jill Dunklau of Omaha; two grandchildren, Erin and Liz Dunklau; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Ron Hilgenkamp of Arlington; sister-in-law, Donna Dunklau of Arlington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David and Leroy Dunklau; and sister-in-law, Judy Dunklau.

Memorials are suggested to the church or the Arlington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
