Nadene M. Wulf, 88

Nadene M. Wulf, 88, of Blair, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services were Thursday at Country Bible Church in Blair. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Nadene Marie Wulf was born July 15, 1914, in Lenox, Iowa, to Ralph and Jennie (Hannah) Pearce.

She moved to the Blair area in 1926. She was a 1932 graduate of Blair High School.

On May 17, 1933, she married James Wulf in Red Oak, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1984. Mrs. Wulf continued to live on their farm in the Orum area until moving to Blair in 1989.

Mrs. Wulf was an excellent cook, seamstress and loved to do embroidery. She had the talent of making things beautiful.

For many years, she enjoyed decorating wedding, birthday, graduation and many other types of cakes. She enjoyed making special birthday cakes for her own children as well as her grandchildren and relatives. Many people will remember her for making their wedding day special with a beautiful cake.

She was a great cook and was always the roll baker for family dinners, and always made a couple of extra dishes of food to make sure there was plenty.

She also had a green thumb and could grow anything. Her plants thrived and she always had her flower beds full.

On the farm, one of her favorite things to do was have her coffee on the patio and just observe the beauty of the fields, watch the finches play, the hummingbirds feed and admire her flowers. She had a loving heart and was very giving of her time and talent.

Mrs. Wulf also had a very strong faith in God. She was a quiet person, never complaining through the last years of her life. She endured much. She was also very independent and rarely asked for help.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Baker of Omaha; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Eleanor Wulf, David Wulf and Rodney Wulf, all of Blair; 10 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Violet Rouse and Darlene Smith; a brother, Donald; and a grandson, Jamie Sterner.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
