The body of Henry Condit of Winner, S.D., was shipped to Pierce’s undertaking establishment Thursday and after the arrival of relatives and others the body was taken to the home of his grandmother, Mrs. L. McEvers, of this city. Mr. Condit was struck by lightning during a thunder storm on his way home with the cattle last Tuesday. He leaves to mourn his death a young wife and two little sons.

The family were farming near Winner. In his boyhood days the deceased was well and favorably known in this vicinity. The funeral services were held at the Latter Day Saints Chapel Friday afternoon and were in charge of Elder J.A. Baker of Mo. Valley, who preached a most comforting sermon to the bereaved family. Rev. John B. Williams of the Christian church gave a very touching opening prayer and Rev. A.R. Jones of the Congregational church closed the exercises at the grave.

The bereaved parents of both husband and wife, their sister and other relatives were here to attend the last sad rites and all left for their homes Saturday. The music for the services was furnished by a quartette composed of Rev. Jones and Rev. Williams, Miss (?) Myfanwy Jones and Mrs. J.P. Jensen, with Mrs. Grace Rathmann at the organ. The sympathy of the community goes out to the sorrowing relatives in their great bereavement.
