Fontanelle Lady Dies At Fremont Hospital

Mrs. Nels C. Wulff Dies Following Serious Operation

Mrs. Nels C. Wulff of Fontanelle died at a Fremont hospital last Saturday at noon following a serious operation performed the fore part of the week. As Mary Larsen she was born in Blair November 7, 1889 and lived here until in March, 1909 when she was united in marriage with Nels C. Wulff.

For a few years the family lived near Orum and in 1912 they moved to a farm three miles north of Fontanelle where they have since resided. Mrs. Wulff was of a very kind disposition, a faithful wife, and was highly respected by a large circle of friends. She had been in good health until about two weeks ago when she was taken ill and later removed to a hospital.

Surviving her are her bereaved husband, three sons, Harold, Irvin and Virgil; four daughters, Mildred, Leona, Winona and Joey Ann; her father, Chris L. Bendorff of this city; six brothers, Mike and James C. Larsen of Fremont; Lars C. Larsen of Herman, Frank Bendorf of Omaha, and Chris K. and Matt R. Bendorf of this city. Two sisters, Mrs. Ed Holstein of Spiker and Mrs. Frank C. Kopp of Niellesville, Wis., also survive.

Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church at Fontanelle at 2:00 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. Wm. Goede, officiating, after which interment was made in the Fontanelle cemetery. A profusion of floral tributes at the last rites were indicative of the high esteem in which Mrs. Wulff had been held.
