James D. Wright

Died---At his home southwest of Calhoun, J. D. Wright.

Mr. Wright came to Washington county in the early 70s and was well known throughout the county. He was towards 65 years of age and leaves the best of friends and relatives to mourn his untimely death. The funeral services will be held in Kennard today at 2 o’clock and the body will interred in the cemetery at that place.

The many friends of Mr. James Wright will be pained to learn that he passed away Tuesday at two o'clock p.m. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family. He leaves an aged wife, two daughters and one son, namely Mrs. Luther Melton of Colorado, Mrs. Thomas Slayback of Kennard and Mr. Craig Wright to mourn his departure. All these were present at his bedside, also his brother from Cades, Ohio arrived in time to be present during his last moments. The interment will take place in the Kennard cemetery this afternoon at three o'clock.

Note: James was born 21 June 1829 and died 7 Sept 1898. He is buried in Blk 3 Lot 47 Sp 1 in the Kennard Cemetery.
