FORMER BLAIR RESIDENT DIES AT FREMONT

Funeral services for Charles W. Emory, 72, who died at his home in Fremont, Monday, June 23rd, following an illness of several months, was held at the Fred Bader mortuary at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. E.M. Johnson, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Burial was at Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Emory had been a resident of Nebraska for more than half a century, living first at Blair, later on a farm in Saunders county and for the last 10 years in Fremont.

He is survived by five sons, Ralph, Houston and Lloyd, all of Fremont; Harry, of Creighton; and Claude, of Houston, Texas; and four daughters, Mrs. Lois Nau and Mrs. Grace Wilcox, both of Fremont; Mrs. Ollie Booze, Redfield, S.D.; and Mrs. Blanche Mathes, Kansas City.

He married Miss Nancy Catherton, , of this city, and lived here while in the employ of the railroad company for a number of years. He was a brother of Wm. Emory.
