Bonnie L. Berndt, 79, of Fort Calhoun died Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

Services were Monday, April 22, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun. Interment was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Bonnie L. Lampe was born March 11, 1934, in Mason City, Iowa, to John Anthony and Margaret Aliene (Patrick) Lampe.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Tim Thomas of Miami, Fla., Carol and Michael Peters of Fort Calhoun and Mary Joan Gammons of Fort Calhoun; sons and daughter-in-law, David Berndt of Independence, Mo., Paul and Clara Berndt of Austin, Texas; sisters and brother-in-law, Janice McVicar of Broomfield, Colo., and Judy and David Collings of Littleton, Colo.; brother-in-law, David (Debbie) Albracht of Amarillo, Texas; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 23 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Berndt on August 31, 2006; sister, Margaret "Peggy"Albracht; and brother-in-law, Thomas H. McVicar.

Memorials are suggested to the University of Nebraska Foundation or Josie Harper Hospice House.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
