MRS. T. E. KING BURIED HERE THURS.

Mrs. T.E. King, eldest daughter of Asa Dixon, sr., of Los Angeles, Calif., died of flu at her residence in Omaha, 2022 Webster, last Tuesday and the body was brought here Thursday for burial in the Blair cemetery. She had been sick but about three weeks with the flu and complications following. The funeral was held Thursday at 2 o’clock at the John A. Gentleman Mortuary.

Alma Dixon was born in Old DeSoto 61 years ago, the eldest of a family of fifteen children. Most of her life was spent here in Blair, where she grew to womanhood and married T.E. King. They ran a laundry here for several years, moving to Omaha about eight years ago. Recently they have been conducting two rooming houses.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Lela Harper, of Grand Island and five sons, Mike, of Los Angeles; Clarence of Brady, Neb.; Lyle of Grand Island; Floyd V., of Dallas, Texas; and Asa, of Omaha.

Also ten brothers and sisters, Asa, jr., Frank, Charley and Oscar; Lois, Mrs. Len Robinson and Dulcie, Mrs. Will Miller, all of Los Angeles; Wallace, of LaTelle, Calif.; Maud, Mrs. Thrapp of Passadena, Calif.; Fred of New York City and Emil, of this city.

FORMER BLAIR WOMAN BURIED HERE

Mrs. Thomas E. King, aged sixty-one, daughter of Asa Dixon, Sr., old settlers of Blair, passed away at her home, 2022 Webster street, Omaha, last Tuesday evening and funeral services were held Thursday with burial in the Blair cemetery.

The deceased had been ill about three weeks.

Alma King was the oldest daughter of Asa Dixon, Sr. and lived in Blair following her marriage for a number of years.

She is survived by her husband, her aged father who now resides in Los Angeles, Calif; five sons, A. R. of Omaha, L. J. of Grand Island, C. E. of Brady, Neb; M. H. of Los Angeles, F. V. of Dallas, Texas; and one daughter, Mrs. L. B. Harper.
