Mrs. C.O. Lobeck, widow of the late Congressman Lobeck, died last Friday morning while taking a ride on a street car with her little granddaughter, Jane Elizabeth Young, aged 5. The conductor noted her head hanging down and took her from the car to a drug store but death resulted from heart failure.

Mrs. Lobeck had been making her home with her daughter, Gladys, Mrs. Raymond Young, since the death of Mr. Lobeck which occurred eight years ago. She is survived by the daughter, the little granddaughter, and a grandson, Raymond jr. The funeral was held at the Young home in Omaha, at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning and burial was by the side of her husband.

Mrs. Lobeck was 75 years of age and was born in Iowa. Miss Emma Cook was a sister of W.J., Ed, and Chas. Cook, formerly of this city. She was married to O.V. Palmer when she came to Blair in an early day. Mr. Palmer conducted a general store on the corner where the W.J. Sas store is now located.
