CARL LOTTMAN OF ARLINGTON, DIED EARLY TUESDAY

Carl Lottman, a well-known county farmer and a resident of Arlington for the past eight years, died early Tuesday at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont. He had been in failing health for several months.

Carl Henry Lottman was born at Drake, Missouri, February 28th, 1894. He was 76 years of age at his death.

He came to Nebraska about 1915, served in the Infantry in World War I, and was married to Miss Frieda Scheer, December 1, 1921 at Arlington. The couple began farming north of Arlington and continued as farmers until their retirement about eight years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Frieda; and by a son, Donald Lottman of Arlington; and a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Lauritsen (Doris Mae) also of Arlington. There are eight grandchildren.

A brother, Paul Lottman, resides in Arlington and another brother, Emil, lives at Owensville, Missouri.

There are three surviving sisters: Mrs. Emil Winter, of Owensville, Missouri; Mrs. Otto Sander, of Linn, Missouri; and Mrs. Adelle Hiedbrink, of Rosebud, Missouri.

He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church congregation and services will be held for him at the church Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Kenneth Fischer will officiate and burial will be made in the St. Paul’s cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair. Pallbearers will be relatives.

In connection with Mr. Lottman’s death, a memorial fund has been established which is to be known as the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church expansion fund. It will be added to from time to time by others who are interested in the movement.
