FORMER BLAIR TEACHER DIED LAST SATURDAY

Anna B. McKercher was born near Herman, May 26, 1876, and died near Valparaiso, September 22, 1928. She attended the Blair public schools and was graduated from the high school in 1894. After teaching a few years she felt the need of additional preparation for her chosen life work and went to the State Normal School at Peru, where she was graduated in 1901.

In both high school and State Normal she won and held the high appreciation and esteem of her teachers and classmates by her earnest, studious conscientious attitude toward her work.

She was a successful teacher for many years at Herman, Blair, Sidney, Valentine and Lincoln, but was compelled through failing health to give up teaching several years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church.

A sister and two brothers survive her. Funeral and burial services were held at Lincoln, September 24th.
