# 2 - - Pilot, January 9, 1929

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church last Wednesday afternoon, January 2nd, for Mrs. S.D. Nonnamaker whose death we mentioned last week. The services were conducted by Rev. A.J. Edgar and were largely attended, the church being filled to its capacity. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Rev. Edgar preached a very comforting sermon from the text, “Let not your heart be troubled.” A quartette sang “It is Well With My Soul,” and Mrs. Edgar and Mrs. Aeschbacher sang very sweetly “Some Time We’ll Understand.” Mrs. Carl Keller was the accompanist.

Mrs. Nonnamaker came to Washington county a good many years ago with her husband and small son, and settled on the farm where she passed from this life December 30sth, at the age of 66 years and a few months. She was always a frail appearing woman and her death was caused by flu with heart complications. She was ill only a week. Her only daughter, Mrs. Herman Mueksch, of Hay Springs, Neb., was unable to come because of ill health. Mrs. Nonnamaker will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends as well as by her immediate family. She was a woman of splendid Christian character and loved by all who knew her. Burial was made beside the grave of her husband in the family lot in the Arlington cemetery.
