Marie Mildred Rasmussen of Orum, died at an Omaha hospital June 19, following a lingering illness of diabetis. The deceased was born near Orum August 29, 1918, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rasmussen. She was a popular member of the younger set of that community and was a prominent member of the Sunday school at the Orum church. Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the family home, the Rev. P.J. Reinertsen officiating, after which burial was made in Orum cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss, her bereaved parents, two brothers and two sisters, another sister having died five years ago. A profusion of floral tributes at the last rites were indicative of the high regard in which she was held by her many friends. Six little friends of the deceased acted as pallbearers at the funeral.

Marie Mildred, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rasmussen, passed away Tuesday evening at an Omaha hospital. Funeral services were held at the St. Paul Lutheran church Friday afternoon with Rev. Reinertsen in charge. The young folks choir furnished the music. Ralph Andersen also sang a solo. Marie was born August 29, 1918, and died June 19, 1928 of diabetes. Irene and Verna Wulf, Marjorie Hansen and Evelyina Rahlfs were pallbearers. The many floral offerings were beautiful. Interment was made in the Orum cemetery. The entire community extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
