Shoble N. Luce, aged sixty-four years, died at his home in Blair about noon this week Tuesday. He was born in Pennsylvania and is the father of six children, four girls and two boys. The remains were interred in the Blair cemetery today.

Note: Blair Cem. records cannot be right with burial and death date. The burial date was used as the death date for this record since the actual date is not known. Shuble was shown as the name on the cemetery record.

(Update, Sept. 18, 2016: We have discovered that Mr. Luce's name is misspelled in the above account from The Pilot of May 1896. It should be Shubal Luse, according to the website Find A Grave #117170134. Furthermore, as mentioned in the article above, the burial date, as listed in the Blair Cemetery records, cannot be correct.)
