GLENN SORENSEN, 49, BURIED AT EXETER, MISSOURI, MAR. 3

Glenn H. Sorensen, 49 years of age, of Exeter, Mo., passed away on March 3 in St. Vincent Hospital in Monett, after a year’s illness.

He was born June 14, 1921, in Staplehurst, Nebr. He moved with his parents to Blair, Nebr., after a few years and attended Blair Schools. He graduated from Blair High School in 1939. He was very active in 4-H Club work, and was crowned King of 4-H Fair in 1942.

At present he was living in Exeter where he had lived for 22 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Monett.

He was a livestock dealer and owned and operated the Monett Sale Barn.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jackie Sorensen to whom he was married October 14, 1946 in Eureka Springs, Ark.; two sons, Robert and Donald; a daughter, Mrs. Etta Nesbit; and three grandchildren, all of Exeter. Also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sorensen of Exeter, and a number of relatives and many friends in the Blair area.

Services were held Saturday, March 6 at 1:30 at the Williamson Chapel in Cassville, Mo., with Rev. Jon Kessler and the Rev. Duane Mohling officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter.

The family expresses wishes that Memorials or Contributions be made to the study and research of Cirrhosis, and may be sent to Williamson Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.
