This community was saddened Friday afternoon to hear of the death of Mrs. Nels Sorenson at a hospital in Omaha earlier in the day. Her death was not entirely unexpected as she had been seriously ill following an operation a few days before. Mrs. Sorenson, formerly Olivia Johnson, was well known here, having spent her whole life here, and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Nels Sorenson and her father Harry Johnson, all of Kennard; and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Sorenson of Tekamah. Also three nieces.

Funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran church in Kennard Sunday afternoon under the direction of Revs. Joseph Rasmussen and Knude Larsen. Interment was in the Kennard cemetery. We extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives in their loss.
