ROSE HILL NEWS: Friends here received word last week from Miss Lillie Spencer of the death of her father, Amos Spencer, December 28, in Oklahoma where he has lived ever since leaving here. He was past 91 years of age. He was one of the early settlers here, homesteading on the farm now owned by James Ryan, jr. His old friends and neighbors will remember him as a great lover of flowers and fruit and his little cottage that was his home in Oklahoma was surrounded with flowers and lovely vines covering the porch of his house.
