H. L. IDE BURIED MONDAY

DIED AT PRESHO, S.D., OF HEART TROUBLE AND BODY BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL AT ROSE HILL

Horatio L. Ide was found dead at his home near Presho, S.D., last Friday of heart trouble. He seemed to be quite well and ate his usual breakfast, but a little later his heart suddenly gave out. The body was brought here for burial out at the Rose Hill cemetery where his son, Milo Ide, is buried.

A short service was held at the Harve Pounds home at 1:30 o’clock and the regular service was held at the Rose Hill Methodist church at 2:30, Rev. Farwell of the Bible Student church of Omaha officiating. Burial was by the side of his son, whose death occurred February 22nd, 1918 at the age of 22. He was an only son, and artist and a poet, giving great promise for the future, so was greatly mourned.

Mr. Ide was born at Hillard, Mich., November 10th, 1854, so was almost 75 years of age. He came to Blair in 1883 and lived here for several years. He was united in marriage to Miss Addie Banks April 6th, 1892, at Marshalltown, Ia. They made their home on the Banks farm for several years, also at Grimm Bros. for two years before moving to Presho, S.D.

Two neighbors, August and John Allen of Presho, came for the funeral service. Also Wm. Lamb of Fremont, a brother of Mrs. Ide. Mrs. Henry Wulff and Mrs. Harve Pounds of this city, are nieces of the deceased. There are no brothers or sisters living, being survived by only his wife.

Horatio L. Ide died at his home at Presho, S. D., last Thursday following a short illness. The deceased was born in Hillsdale, Mich., November 10, 1854 and lived there until 1883 when he removed to Blair. In 1892 he was united in marriage to Miss Addie Banks and to this union a son, Milo, was born, who died in 1918. The family lived in Blair for a number of years where the husband was engaged in various industry. The body was brought to Blair on Sunday and funeral services were conducted from the Rose Hill church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, the Rev. Farrell of Omaha officiating, after which interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
