MRS. SANDER BURIED TODAY

SHE PASSED AWAY AT THE HOME OF HER DAUGHTER, MRS. D. HENNINGSEN, SUNDAY

Mrs. Henry Sander, jr., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Detlef Henningsen, at about 4 o’clock last Sunday morning of bronchitis. She had been an invalid for some eight years, having fallen down stairs and injured her hip, but had been about as well as usual until taken with the prevailing flu.

The funeral was held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at Trinity Lutheran church, Rev. F.C. Frese officiating. There was a large attendance of neighbors and friends and the floral offerings were very beautiful, showing something of the high esteem in which she and her family are held in the community.

Anna Bern was born in (?)Plahn, Germany, October 10th, 1855, so was 72 years of age last October. She was married to Henry Sander February 11th 1861 and their eight children were all born in Germany. John died in infancy; Wm. at the age of 35 in the state of Washington; and Mrs. Mary Kundle here in Blair six years ago.

The living are Henry Sander of this city; Mrs. Lena We____ of Chicago; Mrs. Herman Detlef of Omaha; Mrs. Henry Helwinkle and Mrs. D. Henningsen, of this city; She leaves one brother, Carl Bern in Germany. They came to this country 41 years ago and lived at Emerson for 22 years, when they moved to this city. Mr. Sander died April 2nd, 1915. Since that time Mrs. Sander has made her home with the children. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of their many friends.

Mrs. Anna Marie Sander died at her home in this city on Sunday following but a short illness. The deceased was born in Plon, Germany, on October 10, 1835, and had been a resident of Blair for over 16 years. She was married to Henry Sander and the family lived on a farm near Emerson until in 1912 when they moved to this city. The husband died three years later. She was well acquainted in this community and was active in church affairs through which she gained the love and respect of a wide circle of friends. She leaves to mourn her loss four daughters, Mrs. H. L. Helwinckel and Mrs. D. Henningsen of this city, Mrs. Herman Detlef of Omaha and Mrs. Lena Wegent of Chicago; and one son Henry Sander of this city. Two sons and a daughter preceded the mother in death. Funeral services were held from the Trinity Lutheran church yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock the Rev. H. C. Julius Frese officiating, after which interment was made in Blair cemetery.
