Helen MacDonald Died Tuesday At Age 73

Mrs. Helen M. MacDonald, a life-long resident of the Blair area and presently a guest at Crowell Memorial Home, died there Tuesday, July 31st. Mrs. MacDonald, the wife of Glen MacDonald of Fremont, was 73 years of age.

She was born at Blair December 6, 1899.

Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald lived in Blair until 1939 when they moved to Omaha where they lived until 1966. At that time they returned to Blair and lived at 572 South 17th street until recently.

Mrs. MacDonald had been ill for two years and had made her home at the Crowell Home since February, 1972.

Mrs. MacDonald is survived by her husband and by a son and daughter. The son of Robert MacDonald of Blair and the daughter is Mrs. Vivian Gutschow, of Fremont.

Four brothers also survive. They are Theodore Olson and Clifford Olson, both of Blair, Ed Olson, of Hooper and Clarence Olson, of Tekamah.

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 P.M. at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Gordon Patterson conducting the service. Burial will be made in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Olson of Tekamah, Fred Olson of Craig, Wm. MacDonald of Fremont, Allan Wilcox of Omaha, Merle Sonderup and Paul MacDonald, both of Blair.
