Services Held For Wilma Mace

Wilma Mae Mace, 64, of 412 North Fifth Street, Missouri Valley, died on Saturday, March 5 at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha.

She was born on August 24, 1918, the daughter of Fred and Ella Stewart Peterson in Logan. She graduated from the Logan High School in 1936. She married Burley Mace on December 20, 1941 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a housewife. She lived in the Los Angeles, California area for a couple of years and then moved to Missouri Valley where she resided until her death.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ, Missouri Valley. Pastor Kenneth Cooper officiated at the service. Organist was Louise Gochenour and soloist was Alice Myers. Pallbearers include: John (Casey) Jones, Fred Smith, Alvin Pitt, Richard Nelson, George Stevens and Joe Spears. Interment was in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Missouri Valley. Hennessey, Van Cleave and Hurley Funeral Home, Missouri Valley, handled the arrangements. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers.

Survivors includes: her husband, Burley, Missouri Valley; one son, Ronald E., of Missouri Valley; one daughter, Nancy S. Bruning, Oshkosh, Nebraska; two sisters, Edna Hollins, Council Bluffs; Esther Mertz, Denver, Colorado; and four grandchildren.
