MOTHER OF BLAIR ATTORNEY DIED HERE TUESDAY

Mrs. Elmer Anderson, mother of County Attorney Roy I. Anderson, died at Memorial Community Hospital early Monday, September 29th. She was 79 years old and had been in failing health.

Mrs. Anderson was not a resident of this vicinity until last April when she became a guest at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

She was born at Omaha, February 3, 1890. The family lived in Chicago until she was around seven years of age. She then lived in Minneapolis until she moved to Nebraska and settled in the Oakland, Nebraska vicinity. For many years the family lived on a farm east of Lyons, Nebraska.

She was married to Elmer Anderson in 1910 but he died in 1940. She was the mother of five children, all of whom survive her. They are Mrs. Harley Thorndike (Lucille) of Grand Island; Mrs. Fred Jack (Gladys) of Tekamah; Clifford Anderson of Uehling, Nebr. and Roy I. Anderson and Charles Anderson of Blair. A sister, Mrs. Ida Krell, lives in Omaha. There are 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Following her husband's death, the family remained on the farm until 1957.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran Church in Tekamah and burial was made in the Oakland, Nebraska cemetery.
