Andrew E. Madsen, the young man who was taken sick with typhoid fever on the ditcher about a week ago, died Thursday, having been in the hospital only a few days. The funeral was held in the Danish Lutheran church on Saturday and interment made in the Blair cemetery. Andrew was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Mads Madsen, who live on a farm just south of town, and was about 18 years of age.

#2-29 Mar., 1906 - The Blair Democrat - Andrew Madsen Andrew Madsen, whose funeral was held in Blair Saturday from the Danish Church, was a former resident of the Carterville neighborhood, having lived west of the Carter school. He was a hard working boy who has had a hard time all his life, but wherever he stayed he always made a good hired hand and was never lazy. He leaves a father and mother, a brother, Morris, and an aunt, Christiana Hansen, who is working at DeSoto.
