Services for Nels Madsen, 86 of Blair, who died April 11, 1993 at Memorial Community Hospital will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum, Nebraska. Burial will be in the Orum Cemetery.

Nels P. Madsen was born June 16, 1906, at rural Kennard, Nebraska to Mads and Johanna Jensen Madsen. He attended the Sutherland School.

He farmed west of Blair until retiring in 1966, at which time he moved to Blair. In 1987, he moved to Good Shepherd Home where he resided until his health.

He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, Robert, Albert, Harry, Soren, Leslie, Edward, Elmer and Walter Madsen and one sister, Ella Mencke.

Surviving him in death is his sister, Esther Korshoj of Herman, Nebraska and 12 nephews and nieces.
