Funeral services for Ralph Madsen, 80, of Blair, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum. Interment will be in the Orum Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on August 5, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Mr. Madsen passed away at Crowell Home on Sunday.

Ralph H. Madsen was born July 12, 1923, in rural Blair. He was the son of Harry and Martha (Kuhr) Madsen. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum. He attended the Rose Hill School. He entered the Army Air Corps during WWII and served from January of 1943 till February of 1946. On March 26, 1949 he was united in marriage to Marian Jackson in Herman. Mr. Madsen farmed in the Blair area his entire life. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Herman Legion and Blair VFW.

Surviving him in death are his wife Marian; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Karen Madsen, Russell and Luann Madsen, all of Blair; daughter Cara Jorgensen, Omaha, six grandchildren, sisters, Lela Loftis, Katherine Clark, both of Blair, brother-in-law and spouse, Cameron and Mary Jan Jackson, Herman.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Marshall.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
