Services Are Friday For Selma Madsen

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 15, at First Lutheran Church for Selma A. Madsen, who died October 11, 1982, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

The Rev. Carl Schattauer, Jr., will conduct the services. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery.

Selma A. Madsen was born in Kennard on April 16, 1894, to C. B. and Christina (Jensen) Hansen. She married Harold J. Madsen, Sr.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, White Spot Extension Club, VFW Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors and First Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband May 14, 1979.

She is survived by sons, H. J. Madsen, Jr., Blair; Charles Madsen, Stillwater, Oklahoma; Donald Madsen, Stillwater, Minnesota; Murl Madsen, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Burl Madsen, Atlantic, Georgia; Jack Madsen, Vista, California; Robert Madsen, Blair; and daughters, Mrs. Harriett Pitt, Denver, Colorado; Betty Madsen, Homes Beach, Florida; and Mrs. Fred (Lois) Donaldson, Boulder City, Nevada. Twenty-four grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Watson, Omaha; and Lillian Casey, Blair; and two brothers, Burt Hansen, Blair; and Orvin Hansen, Denver, Colorado, also survive her.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
