Igena A. Schweigart Maertins, 92, of Crowell Memorial Home in Blair died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997.

Services were Saturday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Maertins was born April 14, 1905 at Naper, Neb. to Fred and Bertha (Moer) Schweigart. She married Adolf “Buffaloe” Maertins in Naper. She worked as a nurse’s aide all her life, retiring in 1976.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her sons, Arthur Maertins, Colorado; Lester Maertins, Colorado; Earl Maertins, Illinois; daughters and son-in-law, Lucille and Robert Fuhrer, Blair; Adeline Austin and June graham, both of California; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Helen and four brothers, Jake, Hank, John and Bob.
