Mrs. Art Magill Services July 3rd

Funeral services were held Friday, July 3rd, for Mrs. Art Magill, of Herman who died Wednesday, July 1st at Memorial Community Hospital. She had been in poor health for a number of weeks.

As Hannah Sena Anderson she was born near Spiker on July 3rd, 1882. She lived in this county her entire life and would have been 78 years old had she lived two more days.

She was baptized into the Lutheran faith at an early age.

In 1901 she was married to Arthur Magill and to this union five sons and two daughters were born. Mr. Magill died in 1949.

She is survived by her sons, Floyd, Raymond, Melvin, A. I. Magill and Harold Magill and by two daughters, Mardelle (Mrs. Harold Grothe) and Geraldine (Mrs. Vernon Clements). All reside in the Herman area.

In addition to the sons and daughters, she is survived by two brothers, Charles and Chris Andersen and by 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Baptist Church in Herman with the Rev. Dan J. Peterson officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons, Merlin, Raymond, Jr., Orville, Donald and Robert Magill and Robert Grothe. Burial was made in the Herman cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair.
