Harold H. Magill, 88, of Blair, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, at Herman Community Church. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Harold H. Magill was born Nov. 2, 1913, in rural Herman to Arthur H. and Hannah (Andersen) Magill. He attended the Brodersen and New England Schools, and graduated from Tekamah High School in 1931.

On Sept. 2, 1935, he married Dorothy Vinderslev in Iowa. The couple farmed in the Blair and Herman area until 1960, when they moved to Fremont where Mr. Magill worked for Gambles warehouse until his retirement in 1977.

The Magills moved to rural Herman in 1977, and resided there until moving to Hooper in 1998. In May of 2002, they moved to Blair.

Mr. Magill was a member of the Herman Community Church and the Fremont Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sandra Magill of Hooper; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Dick Barnard of Tekamah; daughter, Shirley Allely of Elkhorn; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Magill of Blair; two sisters, Mardell Grothe of Tekamah and Geraldine (Mrs. Vernon) Clements of Blair; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Bessie Magill, both of Blair.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kirk Magill; son-in-law, Dr. John R. Allely; and three brothers, Floyd, Raymond and A. I. Magill.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
