LEO SCHMIDT IS BURIED ON SUNDAY

Funeral services were Sunday, January 25, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Leo F. Schmidt, 78 of rural Arlington who died January 22, 1981, at the Hooper Care Center.

Rev. Robert Backhus conducted the services. Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery.

Leo F. Schmidt was born on June 26, 1902, in Arlington and lived all his life on the family farm. His parents were George and Matilda Schmidt.

He married Lea Walkenhorst in Arlington on September 19, 1930. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Arlington.

He is survived by his wife, Lea. Other survivors include nieces and nephews.

Reckmeyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
