Margaret Maher Buried Wednesday

Margaret Mary Maher passed away at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha on September 26th following an extended illness.

She was born November 10th, 1914 to Mr. and Mrs. James E. Maher. After graduating from Blair High School she received her Registered Nursing degree from the St. Catherine’s Hospital in Omaha about 30 years ago.

Miss Maher began her nursing career with Mrs. Mary Allen in the Blair Hospital. Since the Memorial Community Hospital was opened she has served as the Administrator of Nurses. She endeared herself to all those who knew her.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Reed O’Hanlon, Sr. (Ruth), and Mrs. John Leehy (Charlotte).

Rosary was at the John Leehy residence at 3 o’clock on Monday and Tuesday. Funeral services were held at 10 A.M. at the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Father Patrick Nolan officiated. The Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements and burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers were six nephews: Tom Leehy of Beaver Crossing, Jack, James, Richard, Larry and Michael Leehy, all of Blair.
