Michael G. Maher, 64

Former Blair resident Michael G. Maher, 64, USAF (retired), of Mary Esther, Fla., died May 3, 2004, of lung cancer. His remains were cremated.

He was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Blair, to Agnes and James Maher, and was a graduate of Holy Name High School in Omaha.

He is survived by a daughter, Katharine Ann Maher and one granddaughter, both of El Cajon, Calif.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Jon Mulford of Hood River, Ore., and Melinda and Stan Lammers of Omaha; sister-in-law, Judy Maher of Omaha; and numerous nieces and nephews. Two daughters and five grandchildren from a previous marriage also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James.
