Marilyn A. Hepner, 76

Marilyn A. Hepner, 76, of Fremont, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Saratoga Battlefield Cemetery in New York.

Marilyn A. DeGiglio was born August 8, 1936, in Schenectady, N.Y., to John and Catherine DeGiglio.

She was raised in Schenectady and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School.

In 1956, she married Nathaniel Walker Jr. in Schenectady.

She worked for Travelers Insurance Company in Albany, N.Y., then lived in Clifton Park, Stillwater, and Malta, N.Y., prior to moving to Fremont in 2012 to be with her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters.

She married Tom Hepner in Mexico in 1968.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Clifton Park where she was a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and shopping.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Mike Lathrop of Arlington; her son, John Walker of Clifton Park, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Samantha Lathrop and Grace Lathrop; her extended family, Heather Walker and Aprille Walker both of Scotia, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000 and one sister.
