Michael D. Bonham Jr., 41

Michael D. Bonham Jr., 41, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at his home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Services were Monday, June 10, at Missouri Valley High School in Missouri Valley. Interment was in Branson Cemetery near Loveland, Iowa.Military honors were conducted by Julius F. Muller American Legion Post 337 of Missouri Valley.

Michael D. Bonham was born May 22, 1972, in Missouri Valley to Michael D. Sr. and Kathy (Hardisty) Bonham.

He graduated from Missouri Valley High School and he entered the U.S. Army and served as an airborne ranger. He served his country for 13 years, and was very proud of his military service. He was the Missouri Valley little kids’ wrestling coach.

He is survived by his wife, Candice (Wills) Bonham of Missouri Valley; parents, Michael and Kathy Bonham of Nevada, Mo.; children, Tessa and Michael Bonham III of New York, Louden and Garrett Bonham of Blair and Mason and Madilyn Bonham of Missouri Valley; daughter, Jade Gundersen and one granddaughter; grandmother, Irene Bonham; brothers and sister-in-law, Travis and Megan Bonham of Missouri Valley, Brock Bonham and Tyler Bonham; sister, Brittney Bonham of Nevada, Mo.; and numerous nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and wrestling boys.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd Bonham, and Marion and Betty Hardisty.

Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley was in charge of arrangements.
