Crystal L. Mallette, 44, of Blair, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.

Services were Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Crystal L. Mallette was born May 13, 1955, to Pat and Helen (Rasmussen) Mallette in San Angelo, Texas.

She graduated from Blair High in 1973. She received a degree in surgical technology from Southeast Community College and worked as a surgical nurse for eight years at Clarkson Hospital. She also worked part-time at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. She was also a real estate broker for Pat Mallette Real Estate for 16 years.

She was a member of the Judy Howard Dance Studio and an ambassador for the Blair Area Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her two daughters, Katherine C. and Rebecca H. Hayes; her parents, Pat and Helen Mallette; sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Merle Hansen; brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Janet Mallette, all of Blair; and Larry and Shelly Hayes of Springfield.

Memorials are suggested to the Katy and Becky Hayes College Fund. Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
