Frank Z. Mann, 76

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for Frank Z. Mann, 76, formerly of Blair, who died Monday, July 19, 1993 at the Tekamah Nursing Center where he had been a resident since March, 1993. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Frank Z. Mann was born July 30, 1916 at Alliance, Nebraska to Clyde P. and Zua Zener Mann. He attended school in Hemingford, Nebraska and graduated from Hemingford High School.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He was employed by Peter Kiewit Construction prior to his being caretaker at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. In 1991, he retired and moved to Fremont.

He was a member of the Blair American Legion, was a past president of the Blair Optimists, a member of the Fremont Breakfast Optimists and a member of the Fremont Knights of Columbus Council No. 1497.

He married Lucina Schleppenbach in California February 16, 1944.

He is survived by his wife, Lucina; four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jackie Mann, Blair; Clyde and Dee Mann, Dallas, Texas; Kevin and Karen Mann, Blair; Ray and Beverly Mann, Fremont; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Mike Travis, Fremont; Paulett and Jerry Brandt, Columbus; Rose and Barry Jensen, Las Vegas, Nevada; 28 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters Arlene Hucke, Hemingford; Vivian (Mrs. Dave) Brunkow, Alliance, Nebraska and one brother, Vernon Mann of Seattle, Washington.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
