Gladys Hartford Marquardt, daughter of Clarence E. and Mae Hartford, was born July 9, 1894 in Norfolk, Nebraska and died on Tuesday, March 25, 1986, at the age of 91 years, 8 months and 16 days.

She married A. W. Marquardt of Dorchester, Wisconsin, on February 5, 1914, in Norfolk. The couple moved to Tekamah in 1940 where she resided until 1976 when she joined her son and his family in Brownsville, Texas.

She and her husband were active members of the Presbyterian Church when they resided in Tekamah.

She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Jack.

She is survived by her son, Robert, his wife, Dorothy, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
