Marjorie Flink, 95, of Blair died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Crowell Home in Blair. Services are pending with Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Marjorie Flink was born July 26, 1917, in Omaha, to Hans and Catherine (Frahm) Rathjen.

She attended Plainview School #56.

During World War II, she served as an aircraft mechanic in Hillfield, Utah, and then Alliance. She also worked at Scott Tent and Awning Company.

She met her husband George Flink while he was selling war bonds, before his enlistment. They were married on June 15, 1945, in Red Oak, Iowa.

The couple made their home in Omaha and served as foster parents to several children over the years. In 1960, they sold their house in Omaha and purchased a farm in Washington County. They raised hogs, cows and chickens and farmed corn and soybeans until Mr. Flink's death in 2006.

Mrs. Flink was a resident of Crowell Home until the time of her death.

She is survived by her sisters, Helen Rathjen of Omaha and Vernice Rathjen of Stuart.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Rathjen; and sister, Faith Rathjen.
